Common questions

We can point you to the right category and explain what a listing means, but we cannot approve or deny assistance — each organization decides that. If you tell us what you need and where you live, we will reply with the listings that fit best.

Yes, it is free, and you never need an account to search or browse. Organizations get a login only so they can keep their own listing current.

Get in touch with our team using the form on this page. We confirm your organization’s details with you directly, set up the listing, and email you login details so you can keep the profile updated. Most new listings are set up within a few business days.

If you have a login, update it yourself from your organization dashboard. If not, send the correction through this form or the feedback page and we will verify and publish it.

Tell us through the feedback page and include what changed. We check with the organization and update the listing. Every profile also shows when the organization last confirmed its details.

The directory is available in English and Spanish using the toggle in the header. If the website is hard to use, call (843) 237-1222 during office hours and a staff member will look up services with you and read the details aloud.

Our focus is Georgetown County. Regional or statewide organizations are included when they actively serve county residents, and each listing shows the communities it covers.

Connect Georgetown does not solicit public donations. Give directly to the organizations doing the work — most profiles list how, and many welcome volunteers as well as funds.

Possibly. Write to us with the intended use. We share data in ways that support residents and do not compromise the organizations listed.
