About this organization
Amazing Journey supports the Sheriff’s Reentry Program and its participants by providing funding for carceral programming and for resettlement support once participants are released from incarceration. Carceral programming includes formal education, job training, and personal development opportunities as participants prepare to return to their communities. Upon release, Amazing Journey helps participants secure housing, employment, transportation, and other necessities for successful reintegration. Amazing Journey further supports related community engagement opportunities meant to strengthen a sense of belonging for those returning from incarceration.
Mission: Amazing Journey is a nonprofit that provides funding for the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Reentry Program and its participants to ensure successful reentry for citizens returning from incarceration.
